Welcome to Blue
River Bulldogs. We are a family owned kennel
in Northern Kansas. We have been involved in
bulldogs for many years. Growing up , I was
fortunate to have a father with a strong
interest in animal husbandry and bull breeds. I
carried his habits over and have been involved
with bulldogs my entire life. We are proud to
showcase our own line of oldes. We worked to
create a line of oldes that would consistently
turn out stable temperaments, athletic ability,
proper structure and bully looks. We feel we
have produced a consistent line of olde
bulldoggess, suitable to protect and serve the
family. We strive to produce oldes that are
intelligent, easy to train and very loyal. Our
oldes range from 75 lbs - 100 lbs, with most
being right around 80-85 lbs.
We have recently
created a new style of small bulldog. We have
worked side by side with our friends the
Krogmans on this venture and are proud
to promote our latest creation, the Shorty
Bulls. The Shorties are a fun little breed to
have around. Again, we wanted stable
temperament, athleticism and bully looks. We
are proud of the consistency we are
getting. After being recognized by other
registries, we began our own registry in 2007
to keep track of this unique new breed. The
Bull Breed Coalition was founded as a record
keeping system for Shorty Bulls and also
recognizes other bull breeds. We have now
joined forces with the ABKC for dual
registration. Shorty Bulls are also trademarked
to keep them genuine. ShortyBulls do almost
everything the big dog does, but on a much
smaller scale, weighing in from 30-40 lbs.
